Escocia:
Mucho frío pero muy buenas olas. Muchísima más gente que en Irlanda en sitios como Thurso. Muy pocas horas de luz (para fotear de 9 a 14 como mucho). Carreteras de mierda. Comida de mierda. Scotland:
Freezing cold but really good waves. More people than Ireland spots like Thurso. Few light hours (if you want good pics only between 9:00 and 14:00). Shitty roads. Shitty food. Nicest people ever. Alaska:
Paisajes vírgenes y muy bonitos, pero hay que recordar no solo que el agua en verano está a 5º grados, sino que además de llevar tus 5mm el consejo de la gente que ha estado allí es que dejes hueco en tu surfbag para un rifle si no quieres acabar como cena de un oso.

Virgin and beautiful landscapes but remember that, even in summer, water temperature doesn’t raise more than 5ºC. If this is not enough, don’t forget your 5mm and add in your surfbag a big rifle if you don’t want to be the first dish of a bear’s dinner.

Canadá:
Un destino que se ha puesto de moda por alguna prueba del circuito y por estar poco usado. Destino de moda suena bien, aunque si debemos estar a la última en trips preferimos ser unos horteras e irnos a las Bermudas con el bañador más feo.

“Hot” destination thanks to the recent official circuit and little used by riders, but so cold that we will actually prefer to be flashy and take ourselves to Bermudas with our kitscher swimming trucks.

Oahu:
Con algunas de las olas más potentes del mundo. En el que, sino bastase con hacer el take off de tu vida, además tendrás que estar atento y tener suerte para sortear la fila de pros y locales de las más concurridas. Si consigues no caer en una ola como Pipe, no hacer una saltada a ningún pro, y sin que Sunny Garcia te de hostias, seguro que será una de las mejores olas de tu vida.
Oahu:
The most powerful waves worldwide. If it’s not enough to do the take off of your life, you have to be smart to avoid queues of pros and locals at the big spots. If you don’t wipe out on Pipe, you don’t get a pro mad jumping over his wave and not get punched by Sunny Garcia, then, here you should have one of the best waves of your life.

Australia:
Snapper Rocks y Superbank. Con estos dos picos el viaje ya estaría justificado. Si consigues saltar por las rocas de Snapper tendrás alguna oportunidad de coger la buena de la serie, pero si es de esos días que consigues pillarla y enlazarla con Superbank, seguro que querrás repetir.
Australia:
Snapper Rocks and Superbank, these two point breaks are enough to justify your trip. If after jumping through Snapper rocks you are able to take the best wave of the series and follow it to Superbank you will want to repeat, for sure. Amazing experience!

Bali:
Todo el mundo tiene que ir a Bali. Clásico viaje para cualquier nivel, si lo que te gusta son las izquierdas y no quieres irte del viaje sin hacer un tubo, esta isla de Indonesia te lo puede dar. Además, Bali es la isla más civilizada de Indonesia, en la que sufriréis menos contraste con vuestra propia ciudad. Tendréis que ir a sitios míticos como Uluwatu, Padang ….
Bali:
Any human/surfer being should go at least once in lifetime to Bali. Classic destination for all levels; if you like lefts and don’t want to leave without making a tube, this Indonesian island will not disappoint you at all. Also, Bali is the most civilized in Indonesia, so you will not feel a big contrast from your mother country. Must be seen spots: Uluwatu, Pandang…and so on.

Desert Point (Lombok):
Izquierda perfecta, izquierda de ensueño situada en la isla de Lombok vecina de la famosa isla de Bali. Si sobrevives a los tigres o a algún local, el viaje para llegar allí no será fácil o vas en barco con un pescador que te deje en el pico o lo tendrás complicado porque ir por tierra es casi imposible. Si esto no consigue desmoralizarte también hay que decir que Desert Point tiene un buen afilado arrecife así que si eres de los que cuando termina la ola hace un vuelo, pero planchado con el cuerpo, ten cuidado y lleva tiritas.
Desert Point (Lombok):
Perfect left, dreaming left located in Lombok Island near famous Bali Island. If you survive the tigers and find a local fisherman that get you to the point break with his old boat you will be a lucky one. It’s difficult to get to waves through the beaches. If this doesn’t make you lose your heart, Desert Point has another “nice” surprise: a sharpening reef that would make you forget your aerials without a good bunch of band aids on your pocket.

Tehaupoo (Tahiti):
Algún pro ya salió bien jodido de esta ola, y es porque no es que sea especialmente fácil. Este reef-pass te puede machacar como si fueses mantequilla. Tendrás otros picos en Tahiti sin que te la juegues tanto.

Some pros have got really fucked up from this wave. It’s not easy. This reef-pass can smash you like butter. You have other cool point breaks with not risks, you chicken!.

Shipstern (Tasmania):
Es un arrecife afilado en Tasmania, zona oriental de Australia. Imaginaros olas de potencia similar a las de Pipe y Tehauppo, pero con algunos alicientes más. Ya es difícil una ola de gran potencia de tipo cremallera como Shipstern, y si tiene la particularidad de que le salen codos por todos lados debes estar atento si no quieres hacer el wipe out del año. Ten en cuenta que si comes vas a salir tocado y el hospital más cercano está a horas, sin olvidarnos de los amigos que hay por la zona llamados tiburones blancos a los que le parecerás una foquita sabrosa si no sales rápido del agua.
Shipstern (Tasmania):
A sharpening reef in Tasmania, eastern Australia with powerful waves similar to Pipe or Tehaupoo but with some extras. If it’s already difficult to take a powerful zip-typed wave that has some fucked up sections all the way down, you have to be concentrating on not doing the wipe out of the year. If you get fucked up the closest hospital is hours driving. Also some nice friends called white sharks are looking at you as a little tasty seal. Get out of the water, man!
